FAQ's
What does it mean to be a fiduciary and why does that matter to me?
Being a fiduciary means providing objective advice, minimizing or disclosing conflicts, and putting our clients’ goals ahead of our own compensation. It means that our team is both legally and ethically required to put your interests first. Always.
How does being a fiduciary influence the advice you give?
For our team, acting as a fiduciary means that we begin with understanding what’s most important to our clients: their values, goals, responsibilities and season of life. Our focus is to understand what clients are trying to accomplish, protect or provide for.
How is your firm compensated?
Our fees are always disclosed and discussed up front. Our advisors may be compensated through a percentage of assets under management (AUM) or a flat advisory fee, depending on the services provided. In certain cases, such as life insurance planning, an advisor may also receive a commission from the insurance provider. Regardless of structure, our advisors are committed to acting in our clients’ best interests.
What do you mean by a “team-based” approach to advising?
Our advisors collaborate, coach and hold one another accountable to ensure we remain rooted in our core values and provide advice that upholds our fiduciary responsibility. Decisions aren’t made in a vacuum.
What does financial stewardship mean to your team?
To us, financial stewardship means treating money as a responsibility, not just a resource. We help clients make thoughtful, long-term decisions that align their financial choices with what matters most to them - family, work, and purpose. Our focus is on clarity, discipline, and wise care over time, not short-term wins or unnecessary complexity.
Integrity over Image. Principals over Popularity. Clarity over Complexity. Stewardship over Status. Character over Charisma.
What does it look like to meet with your team?
Our intention is to do our best to meet clients where they want to meet. Whether in their home, in their community, on a virtual call or at our office, our goal is to meet clients in a setting that prioritizes comfort, convenience, and the space for meaningful conversation to occur.
Explain your tagline “White-Collar Roles. Blue-Collar Roots.”
“White-Collar Role. Blue-Collar Roots” means we bring professional expertise and experience to our work without losing the work ethic, humility, and respect for hard-earned money that shaped us. It reflects a commitment to practical advice, clear communication, and earning trust the same way it’s always been earned; by listening to understand, working collaboratively and putting others first.
Who is your team not a good fit for?
If you’re looking for a large downtown glass building with a corner office...we’re not the right fit.
If you’re looking for an advisor who would prioritize late nights at the office to hit a sales quota over their son’s basketball game or their daughter’s piano recital…we’re not the right fit.
If you desire an advisor in a 3-piece suit…we’re not the right fit.
If you’re looking for an advisor who is chauffeured around in a Bentley…we’re not the right fit…we prefer trucks.
If you’re looking for someone who uses enormously massive, considerably substantial and abundantly complex verbiage…we’re not the right fit.
